J.A. Green buys 175 acres at JAG Logistics Center
J.A. Green Development Corp. has acquired 175 acres at JAG Logistics Center at DIA. The property at 26100-25120 East 68th Ave. in Aurora, adjacent to the 75-acre parcel the company acquired last year, will accommodate flexible build-to-suit sites ranging from 100K SF to 1M SF with delivery slated for the fourth quarter of 2020. An access road, or tug road, is planned for tenants that require more immediate access into the airport cargo area.

Bill Wichterman, a partner in the Porteos project along with Phoenix-based A&C Properties and Scottsdale, Arizona-based Investment Management, noted that one of the companies that has purchased part of the property already — J.A. Green Development Corp. of Greenwich, Connecticut — did so with an opportunity-zone fund that it launched. Other portions of the property have been sold to Denver International Airport, Walmart and Kärcher North America, though those sales were unrelated to the incentives.

Kärcher North America plans to relocate its headquarters for the second time in less than five years, moving from Denver to a larger facility in the Porteos master-planned business park in Aurora, Colorado, as development in the Denver area continues to creep east.
Charlotte, North Carolina developer SunCap Property Group said Kärcher North America, the U.S. subsidiary of German cleaning equipment maker Kärcher Group, plans to move into a 380,000-square-foot facility the developer is building in Porteos, a 1,287-acre site just south of Denver International Airport that is zoned for all types of commercial use.

Industrial park lands for freight forwarders, small users
A company that’s developed industrial product next to some of the nation’s busiest airports has landed in Denver.
Greenwich, Connecticut based J.A. Green Development Corp. will kick off the first, approximately 1 million square-foot phase of JAG Logistics Center at DIA in the first quarter. Located on 75 acres in the Porteos development, it will be followed by a second phase on 172 acres the company has in escrow.

Aurora has record-breaking year for economic development,
Eleven development deals brought thousands of jobs to Aurora in 2017 making it a record-breaking year, the Aurora Economic Development Council reports.
The Aurora Economic Development Council, which is a public private partnership representing the City of Aurora and Adams and Arapahoe Counties, said the city added 2,500 primary jobs.
